LexaLite presents Lex-Efx Light Control Film - a new acrylic optical component, which provides the benefits of perforated aluminum with unprecedented performance and design flexibility.
How Does Light Control Film Work? Light Control Film has a dot or square pattern, which has the outward appearance of perforated aluminum. On the lamp side, it has an aluminum dot or square specular patterned surface. The reflectivity of the aluminum surface is greater than 80% and offers excellent directional control. The varied dot patterns control the ratio of uplight-to-downlight, determine the downward distribution and provide primary lamp obscuration.

These 12" diameter, 7" tall tapered refractors feature precise optics that provide maximum luminaire efficiency and uniformity of illumination. Available in IES Type I, II, III, IV and V distributions, these refractors are designed for use with vertical burning lamps in pendant-mount and post top luminaires for roadway, area and industrial lighting applications. Refractors are available with open or closed bottoms, in impact resistant polycarbonate for vandalism resistance, or ultraviolet stabilized acrylic for high efficiency in general applications.

These multiple use drop lenses can be used with up to 400W HID lamps in indoor and outdoor lighting applications, including service stations and parking lots, although they use fluorescents and lower wattage HID lamps most efficiently. All models provide significant illumination levels below the luminaire and are not suitable for applications where a "bat wing" distribution is desired.
Model 370 and 371 are molded of ultraviolet stabilized acrylic for high efficiency in applications where ambient heat is not excessive. Models 380 and 381 are molded of impact resistant polycarbonate for use in areas where vandal resistance is required.

For nostalgic and historically styled street lighting, these clear polycarbonate lantern bodies can be used in post top or pendant-mount luminaires. They are available in three sizes for added design flexibility.
Polycarbonate provides maximum impact resistance and protection for lamp and optical components. For added lamp obscuration and light diffusion, these globes can be produced in 2% white polycarbonate.
Reflectors or refractors can be used to control the light distribution. Because there are many possible reflector/refractor combinations, photometric information is not available. LexaLite can run photometric tests on your luminiare design.
